One Room Challenge...Week 4

We are in the second half of the One Room Challenge, WELCOME BACK! Thank you all so much for your support, I cannot believe the amount of people that have encouraged me throughout this journey. So many rockstar bloggers and designers have stopped by and made this experience that much better; THANK YOU! 

This past weekend the wood paneled wall was installed and I couldn't have done it without the help of my Boo's Stepdad, Rod...the man is AMAZING! It looks so much better than I ever imagined, every time I look at it it puts the biggest smile on my face. I am behind happy with the results. Rod, if you happen to read this little blog (which I highly doubt you do) THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN! I love the wall! 

This beauty didn't go in without trouble though. We realized that there wasn't enough room between the toilet and the wall for the wood panels, so my sweet Boo switched toilets between our bathrooms.  It was more work than we anticipated and he is now a professional toilet installer. Love you, Boo. 

I have to admit, I'm not worried about time or the amount of projects I have left. I do work well under pressure and can multitask like a mofo. 

The only major projects left are painting our vanity that was upstairs that we are moving downstairs. I'm debating painting it just plain old white or doing a white chalk paint...any suggestions? And painting the hardware gold, of course.

I still need to finish the tray makeover, some DIY art, storage, and accessorize.

ORC...Week 3

Welcome back! Thank you all so much for your support during this challenge! I've had an amazing amount of support from so many people, its awesome! So much is happening in the bathroom, you wouldn't know by looking at it. Here is the current state...

Fish eye lens I'm playing around with...

The ugly Hollywood light fixture is going to be replaced this weekend. The old pedestal sink has been removed and repair was done to the wall behind it. 

The wood panels have been purchased and I'm in the process of polyurethaning them. I couldn't be happier with my choice!

The wood paneled wall will be installed this weekend, YAY!

Accessories are being bought, DIY's are happening. It's all coming together very smoothly. 

Not quite sure if this is the mirror, I'm going to keep my eye open for something a little more fabulous. 

A fun little tray that I picked up at Goodwill is getting a little makeover, stay tuned for that.

Channeling Spring...

I'm over winter! 

This is the cute tree in our backyard, it is now covered with a poncho to protect it...hopefully it'll work.

One Room Challenge...Week 2

I want to thank everyone for all your support as I revealed plans to fancy up the bathroom, you can see the beginning HERE.  I have to admit, I was a little intimidated when I saw everyone's reveal last week, there are some big hitters and amazing talent. 

This past weekend I finished the paint and it makes a world of difference in there already. I really channeled my inner Candice Olson and picked the perfect colors. The ceiling was also redone too, and let me tell you...back and neck breaking. It was all worth it to get rid of the awful colors that were in there. 

This was the before...

After...like a breath of fresh air.

This week I am going to focus on the wood paneled accent wall. I originally planned on using reclaimed, but I found some beautiful new wood and had to change my mind. I also ordered a cute chandelier that I'm going to jazz up a little more. And work on fixing up a vanity, purchasing some accessories, and figuring out storage.  Lots to do, without much time!

ORC...Week one

I'm so excited to get started on the One Room Challenge! I knew when I moved in with Boo the room that I was going to get started on first was the downstairs bathroom. In my opinion this room is the piece de resistance of the whole house, its just been neglected up until now. The huge jetted tub is the best feature in there, but the room is so cold, echoey (made up word), and sterile that its hard to get comfortable.

The look that I'm going for is Rustic-Glam, something totally cozy, comfortable, and relaxing. Its a look that some think is overdone, but not in my opinion. Hopefully my vision will come through in the process. 

I would love to change out the tile around the tub, shower, and floor, but unfortunately it is not in the budget. Not promising that will be the case throughout the whole project though, I'll let you know. Sorry for the quality of the photos, still dreaming of that fancy pants camera. 

This picture makes the tub look so small!

The paint that's in there now is a mix of some sort of minty green and gross yellow, I have no idea what the last owners were thinking. That's about to be changed to a creamy white and light beige. 

New sink and vanity is in the plans, the toilet was already replaced. I'm dreaming of a big shiny mirror and new lighting above that mirror. And the element that I'm most excited about is the wall behind the toilet and sink, a reclaimed wood paneled wall. YAY!

I really want to add DIY chandelier above the tub as well. 

Lots of accessories, soft and fluffy bath towels, and art along the way too. I'm really excited to get started and have you all cheer me on as I go.
